Take a look at the new PWR newsletter to get the latest PWR news. You can also check out committee reports, teaching tips, upcoming conferences, and more.

While the Teaching Resources pages have been created with new instructors in mind, even experienced instructors may benefit from the wealth of online guides to designing syllabi, assignments, writing exercises, and evaluation criteria. There are also sections on ESL, Access, and Teaching with Technology. We are also in the process of creating a Showcase of PWR Instructor Syllabi, and we welcome your sample materials.

You can also view the PWR Instructor's Guide for 2005-2006 here.

The module on Professional Development offers new and experienced instructors advice on important ways to develop and improve your pedagogy, from self-evaluation strategies to collaborative reviews. Discover how to transform your teaching experiences into conference papers and publications. Follow links to conferences of interest to PWR instructors. Learn how to create and update your Teaching Portfolio. Use the recommended reading list to review scholarship in pedagogy, writing, and rhetoric.

We have also added a page of Rhetoric Resources online. Here you can review the historical development of Rhetoric as a discipline and a taught subject. Link to excellent Rhetoric web pages hosting texts of classical and contemporary rhetoric, glossaries of rhetorical terms, and examples of priniciples of rhetoric. Also, check out the section on ideas for assignments in visual rhetoric and digital rhetoric.

If you have any additional information that you wish to see on these pages, or if you have any suggestions for improvement, please do not hesitate to contact the web designer. We would also like to include links to your class web pages on our Showcase of PWR Instructor Syllabi so please send them along to us.
