Teaching Activities for Lecturers and Teaching Fellows

All of us, whether newly hired instructors or seasoned veterans, belong to a community of teachers and scholars in PWR. As such, all lecturers and Teaching Fellows participate in activities that benefit the community as well as individual professional and pedagogical development. Thus all instructors in PWR engage in the following:

  • Attend all scheduled PWR Program Meetings
  • Attend all workshops planned by specific Committees for the purposes of professional development
  • Exchange Teaching Visits each term with another PWR instructor
  • Write a six-page self-reflective summary for each year’s annual review. The annual review includes three sections: Teaching; Contributions to the Program; and Contributions to the Discipline
  • Serve on PWR Committees

Descriptions of the PWR Program Meetings, committee-run workshops, and Committee service opportunities are provided above.
