Presentation of the Syllabus on the Web
Your syllabus is an example of rhetoric-in-action both for your
students and for others who consult your work, whether in PWR
meetings or through your teaching portfolio. You may want to
consider the deliberate use of visual and electronic media for
your syllabus. You might also choose to incorporate illustrations
that capture the attention of your audience and convey the tone
you aim to establish. Posting your syllabus to a URL and creating
links to online resources (such as the Stanford Writing Center,
websites listed in this Guide, and the resource pages
available on the PWR website) will increase accessibility to
your course.
Examples of online syllabi created by PWR instructors can be
accessed through the PWR website and through instructors’ Contact
pages.
