Ordering Textbooks
The Stanford Bookstore requests that textbook orders be submitted
early in the quarter before a course will be taught. If you’re
using a Course Reader rather than a textbook, you can get a discount
on production costs. Order forms for Course Readers and
textbooks can be found in the PWR office copy/supply room. Once
the Course Reader order form is complete, you can either take
it directly to the Bookstore or fax it to (650) 321-3578. If
you have any questions filling out the Course Reader form, please
direct them to Art Palmon. Once a textbook order form is complete,
you can either take it directly to the Bookstore or give the
form to Art Palmon in Room 223A. If you have any questions filling
out the textbook form, please talk to Art or contact Joe Moore
(Course Materials Manager) at the Bookstore (650) 725-6136, email
j.moore@bookstore.stanford.org
Most publishers provide “Instructor’s Copies” free
of charge. You can request your copy by e-mailing or faxing the
publisher with your name, mailing address, the course for which
you will be using the text, the anticipated enrollment, and the
ISBN number, author, and title of the text. Faxed requests must
be signed and on letterhead. The fax numbers of publishers are
available at the Stanford Bookstore (5-6136 ext.458). A list
of publisher addresses and websites is also available online
at http://www.stanfordbookstore.com/htmlroot/faculty/deskcopies.html.
