Grade Books
Grade books are available in the PWR office, and you should
set one up during the first week of term or as soon as you are
sure of your class enrollment. Instructors have many different
ways of keeping grade books, from the highly elaborate to a simple
list of marks. The more detailed your grade book is, the more
data you will have at your disposal when you begin to figure
final grades, and if and when a student challenges a grade. In
addition to a record of attendance and grades for major assignments,
consider recording a mark to indicate 1) the quality of class
participation; 2) the quality of peer review work; and 3) credit
you have given for any other activities.
