Even to the professional writer, there is no such thing as a final draft,
for the process of writing is fluid and ever-changing. The more you revise
your writing, the better it becomes and the easier it will be for your
readers to understand your position.
Peer Reviews. One way of revising your essay and making sure that
your readers understand your writing clearly and completely, is to show
it to others and use their feedback to improve the clarity of your piece.
- The Writing Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
offers a useful online handout to help you with the process of peer
reviewing. "How to Ask for and Receive Feedback on
Your Writing" provides hints not only for sharing your work
with your instructors and TAs, but also for sharing it with your peers.
- An excellent Peer
Editing Guide, authored by Melanie Dawson of the University of Richmond
Writing Center, will help you make the most of collaboration for revision.

to help you make constructive writing group comments. Adria Bader, also

you begin.

Yourself, from Florida State University's Reading/Writing Center
Online, leads you through an excellent checklist of crucial questions
to ask yourself during the revision process. Note that there are links

Princeton University's Writing Center, gives you a good overview of
what the revision process entails and how to go about revising your
drafts.
- The
Revision Guidelines posted by George Mason University's Writing
will help you work through crucial questions to facilitate improvement
