View Your PWR Quarter
Before Axess opens for enrollment, incoming first-year students and students assigned to PWR 2 for the upcoming year will receive an email indicating their quarter assignment and details regarding submitting section preferences.
Petition to Change Your PWR Quarter
You can only petition to change your PWR quarter if you have not been assigned to a section in your original quarter.
Special Note: The online petition period is not open for frosh during Autumn quarter (regardless of your assigned quarter). You must speak with your academic advisor about your study list, have compelling academic reasons for changing your PWR quarter, and then write firstname.lastname@example.org to request the change. Even with compelling reasons, changes can only be accommodated if there is space in the quarter.
Petitions to change quarters are evaluated based on the availability of spaces in any given quarter. If you need to change quarters due to an overload of required courses available only that quarter, you should petition to change quarters as soon as possible after you become aware of the conflict.
If your petition is denied, it is most likely due to a lack of space in the requested quarter. You can email email@example.com and request to be put on a waitlist for the quarter. Petitions moving your PWR section to the following year are typically not approved as PWR courses are designed to be taken in specific year of study (PWR 1 frosh year; PWR 2 sophomore year). If you have special circumstances, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests to change quarters after section assignment are denied except in cases of health issues or compelling academic reasons. It is important to review major requirements and potential conflicts prior to section assignment.

Requests to change quarters are not granted once you have been assigned to a PWR section.
- Click on the “Change PWR Quarter” link below (this link will not work for PWR 1 in Autumn--see note above)
- Request the change, including a description of the specific health or academic reason for your request
- You should receive a confirmation email upon submitting your request. If you did not, please try again (using another internet browser might help as well).
- You will receive a decision within 10 business days
